A fly through of the studio shot by my friend Tom Kutz, Sept. 2023
Five Points Arts, East Gallery, 2022 show.
A nice article by Kathleen Hulsar on my Five Points 2022 show.
Mark Rich is an inspiration. Art is his vocation. He accepts the responsibility of his gift, nobly makes art that is accessible, reflecting the stark truth of the human condition tempered with humor, joy and nostalgia. He blends organization with randomness, composition and automatism with a full vocabulary of symbols. His paintings can be considered still-lifes, cityscapes and abstracts depicting a state of mind, thought, feeling and memory.
